Arapahoe County sets July 6 hearing on revoking Tandoori Deli Halal license
County hearing records say the Aurora deli faced repeated severe food-safety violations, a suspended license and allegations it kept operating while ordered closed.
Arapahoe County’s Board of Health has scheduled a July 6 hearing on whether to revoke the retail food license for Tandoori Deli Halal, 4034 S. Parker Rd. in Aurora, according to the agenda for a special meeting.[^agenda]
County hearing materials identify the licensee as Shakhruz LLC, doing business as Tandoori Deli Halal, and recommend revocation. Staff wrote that the case involved “numerous, persistent, and pervasive severe food-safety violations.”[^packet]
The packet says the county suspended the license on May 13, 2026, and ordered the business to remain closed. An opening inspection on May 15 found the facility was still not ready to reopen, according to the packet. A site assessment on May 18 found the deli open and operating without a valid license, the materials say, and county officials issued a notice of violation and a public health order directing it to cease operations until the board could hold a hearing.[^packet]
Exhibit packets in the hearing record also describe earlier closure actions in March, April and May 2026 for imminent health hazards, followed by reinstatements after corrective action.[^exhibits]
The agenda does not show how the board ruled on July 6. Based on the packet, the hearing was to consider revocation of the license, not a lesser enforcement step.[^packet]
