Denver police arrest man in west Denver stabbing that killed woman

Police said 40-year-old Bobby Tafoya was arrested after a Friday stabbing in west Denver left a woman dead and sent two other people to a hospital.

Denver police said they have arrested 40-year-old Bobby Tafoya in connection with a Friday stabbing in west Denver that left an adult woman dead.

In a Sunday update, police said Tafoya is being held for investigation of first-degree murder after deliberation and criminal attempted murder. Police said the suspect and victims were known to each other.

The stabbing happened in the 1300 block of North Lowell Boulevard, where police previously said three people were taken to a hospital. An adult woman later died there, police said.

Police have not publicly released the victim’s name. The arrest update also did not say whether prosecutors had filed charges.
