FOX31 reported that former Officer Gabriel Lucero was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault, official misconduct and false reporting, and that Officer Javon Leach was cited on suspicion of reckless driving and eluding.

FOX31 reported that the cases are unrelated. The station also said Leach's administrative review will begin after his criminal case is resolved and will involve the Denver Department of Safety and the Office of the Independent Monitor.
