Denver committee approves $25 million DIA rehabilitation engineering contract
The July 15 consent package also included a $5.73 million Skeel Reservoir conversion, a new airport vending concession and a tractor purchase for airport maintenance.

Denver’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved a five-year, $25 million engineering contract July 15 for basement and foundation rehabilitation at Denver International Airport, according to the committee’s minutes.
The consent package included a $5,731,906 contract with FNF Construction Inc. to decommission the jurisdictional dam within Skeel Reservoir, convert the reservoir into a detention and water-quality facility, and improve the southeast corner driving range at Wellshire Golf Course. The contract term is notice to proceed plus 230 days.
The committee also approved the airport rehabilitation contract with Kleinfelder Inc., which includes two one-year extension options, and a five-year airport-wide vending concession with Compass Group USA Inc., doing business as Canteen Vending. The concession includes a $1,468,784 minimum annual guarantee plus percentage fees on gross sales, the meeting agenda says.
The package also included an $879,733.12 purchase order to Wickham Tractor Company for four Puma 165 Powershift tractors for airport maintenance. The purchase order ends June 23, 2027, according to the minutes.
The July 15 items were approved by consent. The minutes do not provide vote tallies or describe substantive debate or dissent.
The approvals followed a July 1 consent agenda that included a $110.24 million construction contract for DS West Phase 2 and a $74 million operations-and-maintenance contract with TK Elevator, which runs through Aug. 31, 2031, according to the July 1 committee minutes.
