An adult victim died at a hospital after a shooting near East 45th Avenue and North Sherman Street in Denver, police said. No arrest has been announced, and the investigation remains active.

Denver police initially reported at 6:53 a.m. July 18 that officers were investigating a shooting, had found one victim and transported that person to a hospital. In a later update posted at 4:22 p.m., police said the adult victim had been pronounced dead.

Police have not publicly identified the victim or provided an exact address, motive or other circumstances of the shooting. They also have not named a suspect or announced charges. Police asked anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
