Denver police announce arrest in North Columbine homicide

Denver police announced the arrest of Jacob Anglon in connection with the July 19 fatal shooting and aggravated assault in the 1100 block of N. Columbine Street. The department’s July 24 announcement identified Anglon as the suspect.
Two victims were initially taken to a hospital, police said. In a later update, police said an adult male victim had died and that they were investigating the death as a homicide. The other victim’s condition was not disclosed, and police have not publicly identified the deceased victim.
The arrest announcement did not include a booking date or number. The records reviewed also did not establish whether prosecutors had filed formal charges or issued a statement. Police asked anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. An arrest is not a conviction.
