A pedestrian died Saturday after being struck by traffic on northbound Interstate 25 near Auraria Parkway, Denver police said. The department’s preliminary account was that the pedestrian had exited a stalled vehicle.
Denver police initially warned of a crash involving multiple motorists and expected delays. In a later update, the department said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not identified the pedestrian. The Denver Post reported that the medical examiner’s office would release the name. Police said the investigation was ongoing and have not said whether any driver was cited, arrested or charged.
