Denver police investigate shooting on N. Willow Street; one person taken to hospital

Denver police are investigating a shooting in the 1500 block of N. Willow Street after finding one victim and taking the person to a hospital Thursday evening, the department said.
In an alert posted by Denver Police at 7:19 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, the department said officers were developing suspect information. Police did not release the victim’s condition, describe a suspect or announce an arrest.
The alert did not say what led to the shooting, whether the scene remained active or whether investigators believed there was an ongoing threat to the public. No incident-specific follow-up was found in the department’s online newsroom during the reporting review.
