The Malley Center Trust Fund Board is scheduled to vote Oct. 5, 2026, on a proposal to lower the recreation center’s minimum patron age to 50, a meeting memo says. If approved, the change could make adults ages 50 to 54 eligible for passes under the age threshold now set at 55.

Under Englewood’s current admissions rules, multi-facility pass holders must be at least 55 to use the center. Adults younger than 55 can register for activities when space is available, and some programs and events do not require an admission pass.

At an Aug. 3 board meeting, staff discussed other centers moving toward a 50-and-older threshold and said lowering Malley’s age limit could bring in additional revenue.
