Aurora Economic Development Council reports 3,183 jobs and $408.2 million in investment
The 2025-through-year-to-date-2026 totals combine primary jobs created and retained; about $310 million in investment was attributed to Arapahoe County.
The Aurora Economic Development Council reported 3,183 primary jobs created or retained and $408.2 million in capital investment for 2025 through year-to-date 2026, including about $310 million attributed to Arapahoe County. The council presented the figures to county commissioners on Sept. 29, according to its presentation.
The jobs total combines jobs created and retained; the presentation does not give separate counts. The investment figure excludes payroll, AEDC said during the study session.
The project updates included two speculative industrial buildings and QTS’s second data-center building under construction. Other distribution-center projects were described as planned or proposed, rather than completed.
The first QTS data-center building was associated with $4.558 million in property taxes collected by Arapahoe County in 2025, AEDC reported. Nearly 45% of those taxes went to Aurora Public Schools. The property-tax figure is separate from the council’s capital-investment total.
AEDC put the projected investment for QTS’s second building at $200 million. That is an expected investment, not a reported completed expenditure.
