Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking $87,480 in annual costs for the Tennyson (Portions of 38th to 44th) Local Maintenance District in 2027, $29,520 less than the $117,000 listed for 2026. The department’s Oct. 1 request says the costs cover continuing care, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement. If approved, the costs would be covered through assessments on properties in the district.

The district includes portions of the area between 38th and 44th avenues, excluding properties in the existing Tennyson II Pedestrian Mall Local Maintenance District and César Chávez Park.

The request sets a district-wide total, not individual property charges. Denver’s 2026 assessment notice apportioned costs among benefited properties by legal lot; the 2027 request does not give parcel-specific amounts.

The request lists consideration by the Board of Equalization on Oct. 26 and Mayor-Council on Oct. 27, 2026.
