Douglas County commissioners are scheduled to consider a $47,527.98 amendment to the county’s contract with Akkodis Inc. for temporary election technology support, including equipment setup, staffing at all 23 active voter service and polling centers Nov. 2 and 3, and teardown after the Nov. 3 general election.

The proposed amendment calls for at least three technicians for deployment on Nov. 1, then one technician at each center on Nov. 2 and Election Day. Their work would include setting up equipment and cabling, checking power and basic connectivity, troubleshooting designated county technology, and staged teardown through Nov. 6.

Technicians would support county equipment and refer application, security, network and election-process issues to county IT staff. They could not make unapproved technical changes or advise voters; the county would retain responsibility for its election systems and procedures.

The amendment would raise the agreement’s maximum expenditure from $84,476.22 to $132,004.20. The county staff report identifies Technology Fund 18950 as the funding source.

The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to consider the amendment at its Oct. 20 business meeting. The meeting packet lists it on the consent agenda and recommends approval.
