Denver Arts & Venues is seeking $7,670,500 for its 2026 special revenue fund budget to cover event operating costs. The department attributes the higher costs to increased prevailing wage rates and strong event activity at its facilities, its Oct. 16 request says. The listed expenses include cleaning and janitorial services, theater production and stagehand support, shuttles, and event public safety and security.

The department expects event revenue to offset the added appropriation and says the request would not affect Denver’s General Fund.
