Denver Human Services is seeking a $1,370,255.08 increase to its agreement with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing for Medicaid eligibility work. The proposed amendment would bring the agreement total to $2,665,043.48 and extend its term from June 30, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the city’s October 15 request says.
The request identifies the added funds as federal money received through Colorado. The agreement covers Medicaid eligibility-related work Denver Human Services performs citywide, with costs shared by the city and state under state law. It also provides performance-based incentives tied to benchmarks for county administration, eligibility determinations and coordination with other Medical Assistance entities. Those incentives depend on meeting targets or deliverables.
The request is a proposal, not an approval record, and says the amendment requires city signatures.
