The Regional Transportation District has expanded FlexRide in Broomfield and Interlocken/Westmoor, adding Sunday and holiday trips in Broomfield and extending weekday service in both areas until 9 p.m. The changes took effect Sept. 27.

Broomfield service now runs from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays and holidays, RTD’s service page says. In Interlocken/Westmoor, service runs from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, with no weekend or holiday service, the zone’s service page says. RTD’s September service-change notice also lists an additional vehicle in Broomfield during weekday morning and evening peaks and Saturday peak periods.

Broomfield City Council is scheduled to consider a pilot agreement Oct. 27. The proposed agreement sets a project cap of $408,606, including an estimated $81,721 city match if the full federal award is received. The pilot is intended to run through Dec. 31, 2028, subject to funding, the council agenda packet says.
