18th Judicial District conviction integrity unit

The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is developing conviction-integrity capacity to review potentially wrongful convictions. The county’s recommended 2027 budget includes a dedicated prosecutor, and a federal grant is expected to support an investigator and possibly a paralegal; the budget had not yet been adopted at this meeting.
