Routt County reports two fires, evacuation orders near Stagecoach
Routt County officials said the Fishhook Fire and Green Ridge Fire were burning Sunday, with evacuation orders for zones OC-522 and OC-523 near Stagecoach Reservoir.

Routt County officials said Sunday that two fires were burning in the county — the Fishhook Fire near Rabbit Ears Pass and the Green Ridge Fire near Stagecoach Reservoir — as evacuation orders remained in place for two zones near Stagecoach.
The county said evacuation orders covered zones OC-522 and OC-523. Zones OC-521, OC-528, OC-529, OC-531, OC-532 and OC-536 were under pre-evacuation alerts.
Officials said roads near the Stagecoach area should be used only by evacuees and emergency responders. The evacuation center was at Soroco High School, 305 S. Grant Ave. in Oak Creek.
The county said the center was open Sunday, July 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but was not an overnight shelter.
The county did not provide acreage or containment figures for either fire in the available update.
The Routt County fires come as Colorado remains under heavy wildfire response statewide. In the state’s July 9 emergency update, officials downgraded the Food/Water/Shelter lifeline from stable to unstable while keeping the State Emergency Operations Center at Level 1.
State and county notices also pointed to wildfire-related disruptions beyond active flames, including burn-scar flood concerns and road impacts tied to emergency traffic and response.
