Denver is proposing a $6.85 million contract with Loya Construction Inc. to resurface about 57 lane miles of streets and 35,000 square yards of alleys across the city, according to a Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure contract request.
The work would include roto-milling, or removing the top layer of pavement, followed by asphalt overlays on local, collector and arterial streets. The proposed contract would last 180 days after the city issues a notice to proceed.
The proposal includes a 70% commitment to businesses certified as women-owned, minority-owned or disadvantaged businesses. It identifies Ardent Traffic and J&V Striping as subcontractors and says Loya was selected through a competitive process.
