Englewood council interviews seven applicants for vacant District 3 seat
Council plans to discuss the candidates Wednesday, with an appointment listed on the agenda.

Englewood City Council interviewed seven applicants Tuesday for its vacant District 3 seat. The council is scheduled to discuss the candidates Wednesday, with an appointment on the agenda.
The applicants listed on the city’s updated interview agenda were Aaron Martinez, Brenda Hubka, Dana Foulks, Sean O’Shaughnessy, Hunter Chase, Barbara Chumley and Kaitlyn Sims.
At the end of Tuesday’s meeting, the chair asked council members to come Wednesday with two or three preferred candidates to narrow the field. He said he hoped they could reach a decision and avoid a special election, the meeting recording shows.
