The Denver Public Schools board is scheduled Thursday to consider ratifying its Sept. 17 approval of an investigation into allegations that Vice President Monica Hunter made antisemitic remarks, the Oct. 1 special-meeting agenda says.

Chalkbeat reported that the board voted unanimously on Sept. 17 to hire an independent investigator and amended the proposal to limit the investigation to the antisemitic-language allegation. Hunter has denied making the reported remarks. In a statement reported by CBS Colorado, she said the allegations did not reflect who she was. Chalkbeat also reported that Hunter said she looked forward to a full, transparent investigation.

The Oct. 1 agenda separately lists possible action to amend board policy GP18 on legal counsel, waive GP14 for that amendment and authorize outside counsel to advise the board in executive session. It identifies Holland & Knight LLP as providing legal advice on the proposed investigation’s process and related legal considerations.
