Denver police investigate N. Columbine shooting as homicide after victim dies

An adult male victim died after a shooting Sunday in the 1100 block of N. Columbine Street, and Denver police are investigating the incident as a homicide. Two victims were initially taken to a hospital, police said.

In an initial alert, Denver police said officers were investigating the shooting and that the victims' injuries were unknown. In a later update, the department said an adult male victim had been pronounced dead and asked anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Police did not disclose the deceased victim's identity or the other victim's condition. The department had not publicly identified a suspect or announced an arrest in the updates reviewed.
