Commerce City’s Urban Renewal Authority has proposed $2,034,149 in spending for 2027, including $496,906 labeled for Mile High Greyhound Park, $297,400 for Derby and $325,000 for Prairie Gateway.

The budget covers Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2027. Its budget schedule totals $2,034,149 in planned uses, including $1,541,828 in administrative costs and a $492,321 transfer for debt service. It lists $1,934,149 in revenue and $100,000 from fund balance.

The schedule describes the Mile High allocation as “Project Expense General,” Derby’s as “Outside Services Derby” and Prairie Gateway’s as “MDA Expense General”; it does not identify specific work or deliverables for those line items.

The Oct. 19 meeting agenda schedules a public hearing on the proposal. Staff recommends opening the hearing Oct. 19, continuing it to Nov. 2 for public inspection and comment, then adopting the budget after the hearing closes, according to the board communication. Those are proposed steps; the budget has not yet been adopted.
